Better Training for Safer Food is an initiative of the European Commission aimed at organising an EU training strategy in the areas of food law, feed law, animal health and animal welfare rules, as well as plant health rules.

In this framework, IZSAM has been entrusted of the organisation and implementation of further fourteen training workshops on animal welfare in farming, during transport, at slaughter and in killing for disease control to be held mainly for EU Member States under the Better Training for Safer Food Initiative.

The second phase of the Service Contract n. 2012 96 04 with CHAFEA foresees the organization of training workshops addressed to an average of 55 participants per course, to be held in different EU Member States.
