In the framework of the Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) Initiative of the European Commission, the Executive Agency for Health and Consumers (EAHC) has published a booklet focused on Animal Welfare with the aim to provide an introduction to and an overview of the subject in question.

This publication introduces key aspects of training on animal welfare on farms, during transport and at killing within the BTSF programme and it is intended primarily for national-level control staff who are about to or have attended BTSF workshops on this issue.

The booklet is available here.
